Happy new week everyone. The BBC has officially reported that it is winter in the UK (see video link below). I was wearing ear muffs, cosy socks and a scarf indoors – it’s like the equivalent of a duvet day – well, I bought into that one anyway. Hope you are all wrapping up warm and staying safe. Don’t go crazy with those sledges people!
OK, I’m off to wrap my hands around a mug of hot soup now… hope the week has flurried away to a good start for you 🙂

Definitely winter today, going to wrap up warm and have a long walk in the snow.

That sounds like a lovely idea! Before it all becomes slush. Although it’s quite hard this side of town – I mean the snow hasn’t thawed, it’s a bit set to ice…be careful (I hear the voice of a health & safety officer in my head lol!)

i was writing a lengthy comment making fun of the UK for words like cosy, gaol, and tyre, and then the power went out in my whole block. let that be a lesson to me.

That’s right, choose a time when everyone else in your block isn’t trying to leave witty messages on my blog as well. WordPress hates me 😛

Ahhh..
I have missed your freeze by a week.
I send you some Australian sunshine to warm you up 🙂

Thank you! It’s forecast to be sunny this afternoon although that means less cloud cover, and in the present circumstances, actually colder air! However, that’s actually one of my favourites – frosty but sunny, crisp and dry weather 🙂

Stay warm! 🙂

Thank you – and thanks for your reply to my question on your cornbread recipe!

It was definitely the day for a duvet day! I should know because I did too!

I’m just imagining the whole of the UK having a duvet day – we should make it a sponsored event lol every time it snows! 🙂
