this is lemonade

A mindful, grateful, creative life: Life constantly hurls lemons at us. I’m on a mission to make lemonade as best I can, by God’s grace.

Happy Easter!

Just popping in to wish you all a Happy Easter. Without Easter Sunday, there would only be Bad Friday and no good in the Easter story. So I’m thankful for God’s grace and for the hope and joy after suffering that comes wrapped up in the gift of Easter.

Another piece of good news that has less of a wide-reaching impact and more of a personal one, is that Baby Girl arrived last week! ♡ She was a tad early, and the birth didn’t go as we’d hoped, but words cannot express what a joy it is to finally get to know the little human that has been growing inside me for the last 9 months.  It was all worth it… and the poo and feeding and crying and lack of sleep hasn’t dampened anything… except perhaps the urge to blog :-P

So please forgive my impending absence. I’ll be back hopefully in the not too distant future (and resolve not to flood this space with endless poo reports when I return!) In the meantime, thank you for being there, supporting and encouraging me. Take care! X

  1. Awww!! I have been away from blogging for too long, and missed this AMAZING news!! How fantastic! Congratulations on your little baby girl xx How are you getting on? Sending you lots of happy thoughts x

  2. OH MY GOODNESS!!! I feel like you just announced being pregnant yesterday! CONGRATULATIONS!! So exciting! So happy for your new little family. Can’t wait to hear more (and hopefully see more) of your amazing little girl.

  3. Ahhh!!!! How exciting! That is such lovely news! When you say early, how early? I hope that you are recovering well now if your birth did not go as planned.

I must apologise for having only just seen this as our pregnancy has had it’s own scares.

Wishing you all the luck and congratulations in the world and hoping that you thoroughly enjoy this time with her. Can’t wait for my little one to arrive!

  4. oh wow- Now she’s already like 2 weeks old! A lot of things don’t go as planned. Get used to it. And poo reports are kind of fun when it’s someone else’s responsibility. Cheers on the new chapter. Best, wt

  5. Congratulations!!! So exciting.

  6. Congratulations, that’s great news.

  7. Oh my goodness, congratulations! The three of you are going to have so much fun.

    • Thank you Ziggy! ♡ I think I might be able to write a paper on poo textures soon lol. How are you? X

      • I’m fine and dandy.
Even though it’s almost 21 years since my Imaginary Daughter arrived on the scene I remember the first poo. Why does no one tell you about the first poo? And all the nurses gave me was cotton wool to wipe her little botty.

  8. Happy Easter to you too and congratulations on the birth of your daughter! May she grow up to be a beautiful woman of God.
Blessings to you, her and daddy of course!
